How do Techmade smartwatches register an ECG? In addition to the heart-rate sensor, which is present in all Techmade smartwatches, Tech Feel is equipped with additional electrodes that can track an introductory ECG. A standard 12-lead ECG records electrical signals from different angles of the heart to generate twelve different paths. The ECG app Tech Feel measures a track similar to one of these twelve tracks.
What information do you get from the Tech Feel ECG? A single derived ECG can provide information on heart rate and heart rhythm and allows the classification of atrial fibrillation. However, it cannot be used to detect other problems such as heart attacks. In some comparative studies between tech feel ECG and a standard 12-derived ECG, the same classification of heart rhythm as sinus or atrial fibrillation was found
How does it work? The ECG app Tech Feel measures a track similar to one of these twelve tracks. Step 1: When you wear the smart watch and place the fingertip on the digital crown next to the display, a closed circuit is created, starting from the fingertip itself and passes to the sensor on the wrist. Step 2: If you read the power passage in this closed circuit for 30 seconds, an algorithm is generated which is processed from the Techmade app and outputs the ECG chart. Step 3: The generated initiated ECG can be shared with your doctor.
