Faikin: Alternative Daikin WiFi controller PCB (Home Assistant compatible)

This is an assembled PCB with ESP32 processor, voltage regulator, serial tx/rx, and RGB LED. Comes pre-loaded with open source Daikin compatible WiFi aircon control software (see faikin.revk.uk for details). Works as an alternative to official Daikin BRP069B41 or BRP069C41 WiFi modules, with local web based control. Can integrate with Home Assistant. We recommend getting one first to confirm it works for you, as this is free open source software on this hardware device. You will need a lead to connect to your air-con unit with S21 or X50 port. Colour/design may vary.

• Everyone knows Daikin make some of the best air conditioners out there. But their implementation of IoT (remote control over the Internet) is now totally cloud based, and they are even limiting the use of the API access rates, and still needs Internet to work. If you are planning on integrating your air conditioners into something like an MQTT or Home Assistant in your home or office, or simply want very basic web control / status for your units, this unit provides these features. It plugs in where the old Daikin WiFi module goes.
• Simple set up (appears as access point with web setup page on 2.4GHz WiFi)
• Local web page control over WiFi, no app needed, does not need external internet, nor any sort of cloud service/signup.
• Automated control is possible using an MQTT broker if required. Can integrate with Home Assistant via MQTT. Can also integrate with some BLE temperature sensor as external reference in room.
• This is an assembled PCB, a component. No housing or leads supplied, fits the same leads as Daikin WiFi module. 3D case design published on github. You will need a lead for S21 or X50 port. See faikin.revk.uk for details of cables people have made themselves. Take all safety precautions if opening your air-con - at your own risk.
• If you need to make your own S21 connector, the RS part is 311-6237, and you need the crimps as well.
